Nakitha Scott is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master of Science in Human Services with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University CACREP Counseling Program. Nakitha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arkansas State University. Nakitha is a National Certified Counselor with a specialty as a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Additionally, Nakitha is a Registered Play Therapist, Registered Integrative Sand Tray Therapist, Certified Clinical Anxiety Therapist Professional, Telemental Health Therapist, Certified Autplay Therapist, and Independent Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant. Also, Nakitha is trained in Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trained from Postpartum Support International in Perinatal Mood Anxiety Disorders, Certified Infant Mental Health Therapist, PCIT trained, Level -1 Theraplay trained and Level-1 Certified Community Wellness Coach. Nakitha has worked as the Director of a Healthy Start Initiative Program implementing various programs for women and men, pregnant moms, postpartum mothers and their children. Nakitha is passionate about assisting individuals through their traumas, anxieties, and grief.  Nakitha believes that understanding and processing the past helps one to understand who they are and who they will become. Through acceptance of self, clients will work towards their healing in an empowered,  safe,  and supported atmosphere. Nakitha has worked in the mental health field for over 15  years using integrative approaches to assist various populations ranging from infants, preschoolers, elementary children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
